I came across this version of Michonne's katana while looking for Jon Snow's Longclaw for my brother-in-law. For the price I thought it worth a try, especially because I haven't added to my sword collection since the ban... and I had been hoping there'd be a replica of this sword since Michonne first appeared on Walking Dead.
I know there is a cheaper, straight, version - but it was the curved one I wanted and couldn't justify the outlay on the official version. So I ordered Longclaw and the katana.
Just over a week later they arrived.
As there were no reviews on this site I was a bit hesitant in opening the box, but we were off to a good start when I saw the black bukuro it was wrapped in. Unwrapping this revealed the sword in its data.It looks exactly like the real thing, the brown shoulder sling, the engraving on the blade, the design if the tsuba...all excellent. The oiled blade glistened as I withdrew the sword from its saya and then I found the thing which apparently makes this cheaper version different from the officially licensed product...this one is SHARP!!
I highly recommend this version of Michonne's katana to any Walking Dead fan or sword collector. At this price it's too good to miss!
